I haven’t been dreaming lately.
OK, last night I remember some vague thing about my boss asking me to send
out an email. But, that was more memory that dream.
Usually this time of year I have a lot of dreams. And, often fairly
intense dreams.

Yes, I count them.

That’s the last 10 or so years.

So, it is strange to me not to be having dreams right now.

Is it possible you're having dreams and not remembering them as well? I know my own ability to remember dreams goes way up when I keep a dream journal and write about them the minute I wake up. If I'm not doing that, many times I don't remember them at all, not even that I had them.

That chart should really be "dreams I remember".
I'm sure I have dreams the rest of the time, but this is the time of year I normally remember them, and it is strange that this year I am not...

This is an interesting article written by a Dr. who I find informative.

The best way for me to get a really restful sleep and dream, is to remove any computers and phones from around my bed, I put them in my closet. I can really notice the difference.

I'm not having any trouble sleeping. (Now anyhow. I do have bouts of insomnia from time to time.)

It is just unusual to me because I normally remember my dreams this time of year and am not this year...

What a cool idea to count your dreams! Do they seem thematic? Mine often just feel like an extension of the day. (And I rarely remember them unless I wake up afterward.)

I count many things...

I often try and connect my dreams to things going on in my life.
Sometimes the connections are very clear.
Sometimes they are not clear at all.

The "dream" tab above will take you to entries on mine if you're really interested...

I dream every night most of the time I am asleep, at least that's how it feels. I am an insomniac, and frankly wouldn't mind a dreamless night.

I've had some corkers recently. Really surreal, to the extent that I've woken myself up confused.

I believe a dream is your subconscious communicating and try to attend to mine.

Is the weather different in your area this year? October for me is when awesome sleeping weather starts. It has been warmer than usual here and I've been waking up warmish. Could that be influencing your pattern?

I've had a bit of a cold.
I guess that could do it.
But, usually that makes them more intense, not less.
