This morning we got up reasonably early for a Saturday and headed off towards Boston.
We stopped at the Swiss Bakery for a nice breakfast. (http://swissbakers.com/sb/ )

Although a nice sunny day, it was a bit cool, so we ate inside.

Then, off to Boston to the museum.

I’m glad we didn’t have to drive through the construction on a weekday rush hour…

But, it was a good day/time for traffic and there was very little.

I’ve always liked the road in front of the museum.

We only went to the special exhibits.

The first didn’t allow photos. The second was crowded making it difficult.

Of course, there were benches.

Some of the prints had been shown at the Worcester Art Museum first.

They had some very interesting pieces including cut out toys and lunch pails and such.

A group of parents commissioned some art work 200+ years ago to go with their daughters poetry. It was titled "The Thirty-Six Immortal Women Poets".

Given it is on display 200 years later on the other side of the world, I think they got that immortal poet part down…

Maybe I’ve watched too much "Supernatural", but I really liked the demon hunters.

Then, as the museum got crowded, we left again.

It is very nice to have the leaves on the trees.

We headed back towards home.

We stopped for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants.

All in all, a good day.

And, it all started with a joke my cousin made:
"Frank walks through the exhibits so fast we always know where to find him. He'll be at the bench at the end waiting for us to catch up!"
(And, I do go through fast no doubt about it. It's just my way of taking things in.)
