I had a six month review with my doctor this morning. She confirmed I was
fat.
I’m not sure why she seems to think this is news to me. I was already
fairly well aware of it.

My blood pressure was also through the roof, as it almost always is when I
visit my doctor. The good news is I brought 6 months of data for me taking
it at home, all of which is pretty good.
I don’t take it every day, but a few times a week.
I had the raw numbers, averages and standard deviation bands since my last
appointment.
“This is good data,” she said looking it over. “Thank you for collecting
it.”
My average is 124/67 which is much better than the 168/90 I got in her
office.

The bad news is half of the polyps they took from me at my colonoscopy back
in February were “pre-cancerous”.
That is the kind of cancer my mother’s father died from. So, it is a
concern.
At least they removed them and none of them were specifically malignant yet.

But, most of the talk was over my weight. It is too high and I should do
something about it.
I know what to do, I just don’t like doing it.
But, now that I’m in my 50’s I should.

Ugh, getting older and having to be more cognizant of one's health is no fun.

I love when doctors inform ya that " you are overweight, and need to do something about that". Duh, Thank you Dr. Obvious". That sucks about the polyps, is there something that can be done now to prevent them for going completely to the darkside?

Go back every 3 years instead of every 10 to get checked and have them removed...

Blah. Weight is the most depressing thing ever to deal with. Good luck! At least you have an active hobby, that probably helps some.

losing weight isn't fun and surely not always easy. But, it is good for your health, that's a fact.
I wish you good luck with it if you decide to tackle the weight.

Good thing they removed those polyps. better keep a close eye on that

I'm glad to hear that they removed the polyps. I'm sure that is something that you are going to have to have checked again.

Yea, last time I was in my doctor's office my blood pressure was also through the roof and she told me to lose weight (bleh), but out caffeine and salt. I'm working on it!
