We did very little this weekend. I already wrote about Thanksgiving day on Thursday. But, the other three days, not much.

Friday we did go over to [livejournal.com profile] cissa & [livejournal.com profile] cosmicirony’s for an additional Thanksgiving dinner. This is just part of being a hobbit. Second Thanksgivings all around.

Of course, that did mean I had to get the snow off of my car. Letting it sit for two days made it a pretty firm ice. Firm enough to snap my ice scraper.

The dinner was very nice and we were both glad we went. Sadly, due to our cat allergies, we were the last to arrive and the first to leave. But, we did enjoy our time there.

Saturday I went as far as the store and the post office.
At the store I found the most bizarre thing.

Yes, eggnog flavored tea.

Of course I bought some.

Douglas Addams in his Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series talks of a drink that is "almost, but not quite, totally unlike tea".
I never need wonder what this is like again.
My wife is going to take the rest to work with her under the assumption that students facing exams will drink anything with caffeine in it.
This may put that to the test.

Today we went to the local "Texas Roadhouse" steak place as we had our fill of turkey for a while.

Afterwards I went over to the Barnes and Noble bookstore across the parking lot.
They have a strange idea of what should be in the science fiction section.

While I know a lot of the music industry is fake, I don’t think it is science fiction. And, I know cooking with beer isn’t as my wife has done this.

Anyhow, what we have done a lot of this weekend is play WOW.

I’ve gotten 11 levels out of the new expansion. Some of you may say "But Frank, they only added 10 new levels".
That’s true, but I’ve got a lot of characters. So, I got 4 levels on 2 characters and 3 on another.
So far I like this expansion. It is more interesting than the last two to me.
Once you get past the intro, the quests are not as forced as they were.
We’ll see after it’s been out a while.

Anyhow, it was a good weekend, if we sat around and didn’t do much.
We have zero free weekends in December, so I guess it works out that we rested up now.

Egg nog tea?? That is the most bizarre thing I have ever seen - have you tried it? What did it taste like - I'm so curious.

Wow - look at all that snow! It looks so pretty but I don't envy you having to dig out your car.

It had a strong smell of cinnamon. But, other than that tasted like regular black tea.

I ended up not drinking very much of it.
It smelled like cinnamon, but otherewise was regular tea. And, not even that good for tea.

How did you get the snow/ice off your car in the end?

What exactly does that eggnog-flavoured tea taste like? S:

I didn't realize that Texas Roadhouse is a chain across the US....

I used the ice scapper from my wife's car to clean mine, then went and bought a new one.

The eggnog tea was not good. I threw out most of the cup I had made and sent the rest to the university where my wife works so she can give it to students. I would not buy it again.
I really didn't expect it to taste good. But, it was a strange enough idea that I decided it was worth testing.

The Texas Roadhouse is a pretty big chain. It was started in Indiana and is now headquartered in Kentucky. Neither is particularly close to Texas...

Wow, that tea does sound bizarre and I take it that the taste was awful.
