My wife likes to sleep late on Sunday. I generally can’t sleep past 7.
So, Sunday morning I usually watch shows that my wife doesn’t like.
I thought it would be OK. I thought she wouldn’t know.

But, this Sunday she got up early and found me watching an episode of Star
Trek: Voyager.
I’m so ashamed.

An image from that episode had been shown on the Star Trek Wiki as the
image of the day, and I felt the need to go check it out.
I really had never realized Sarah Silverman had been in Star Trek.

It could have been worse.
The next image of the day was from Spock’s Brain…

It did get its revenge.
When we were driving off to the museum yesterday, my wife kept hearing a
beeping noise.
I only heard it at certain points, but she heard it almost the whole trip
there.
“It sounds mechanical,” she said. “Maybe your bearings are going.”
“What it sounds like is your old Star Trek communicator pin from the Next
Generation that beeps when you push on it. But, I thought that was in your
car.”

The noise got louder and louder.
Finally I dug into the center console storage box. There at the bottom was
the communicator pin beeping away.

So, if I watch the bad Star Trek, the good one will come after me.
Good to know.

I love Star Trek Voyager. Some of the character arcs on that show were extremely deep and awesome. I love most of the Star Trek universe really. All of it. The one I didn't get to watch most of was Deep Space Nine because I was busy with little kids and didn't own a TV. The only one I didn't like was the new Star Trek Into Darkness for reasons.

Deep Space 9 was my favorite.
I never got along with Voyager as it seemed like character motivations changed from episode to episode. Maybe I didn't get the depth.

I hated into Darkness. But there were a few others I didn't like too.

the really in depth part didn't get moving until maybe past the second season (or maybe third), they just had to give Kess the boot. so I understand not being able to sit through that.

I had indeed given up on it before the booted Kess. The few episodes I've seen from after that have made me vaugly wonder what happened. But, not enough to go watch it on Netflix. Maybe next Sunday...

I love all Star Trek, so no need to feel ashamed.

There are ones I didn't like.
I'm not saying they are bad. But, I don't like them.
