Swords and cook outs

Thursday evening we set off for the sword study group.

We only got a blurry photo of the person dressed as a sandwich outside of the sandwich shop.

But, a good photo of the giant crab (Buster) on top of the sea food restaurant.

For 10 years my wife and I lived across the street from the sea food place with the crab.

Out bedroom was the upper left window. The living room the windows that bulge out just to the right of that.
In all that time and now, I’ve never eaten at that sea food place with the crab. People tell me it is good. But, I spent too many summers across the street from their dumpster…
The clouds were still being dramatic when we got to the study group.

We continued to study the Liancour.

We are now up to chapter 12.

I particularly like the advice to be careful blocking with your left hand or your opponent can pin it to your chest with their sword.

Friday my company had a big meeting for everyone. As we drove off to the meeting I saw that the swamps were blooming with purple loosestrife: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lythrum_salicaria
This is the time of year my sister always came home to visit. She said she liked it when the swamps were beautiful.

The road was crowded as everyone in my company went to the meeting, and then to the cookout after it.

But, who could say no to free food, right?

This is my boss on the right and "Green Eggs" who works for me on the left.

There were all kinds of activities like golf, horseshoes, tug of war and such. But, my group all ate their food and went home.
And, that took a while, we had to park a ways away.

I did, eventually, reach my car.

I got home a couple of hours early. When my wife got home we went off to see Guardians of the Galaxy and both liked it.
