Week in pictures

Monday we got a small bit of snow and a good bit of ice.


I got to work OK, but some folks were not so lucky.


The turkeys at work didn’t seem to like the freezing rain.


It did make the trees pretty.


But, the turkeys got belligerent and started trying to shake down traffic for food.



At least the sun rise and set looked good.


But, it led to more snow.


But, in the end there wasn’t much.


And, the moon did come to say hello by the end of the week.


For game night my wife made cake balls. She’s found a way that does not require as many curses. But, it does require the batter of a thousand cakes on her hands.


Today my wife had to go renew her license. We thought it would be easier at the AAA office than the registry. But, it is never easy.


We then went to see the new Hobbit movie. Yeah. I love the book. Maybe that’s my problem.

Anyhow, after it we made the mistake of going grocery shopping just before a big snow storm.


The line to the register was quite long.


But, now we’re home and watching the small amount of snow come down. We’ll see what there is tomorrow.

Those turkeys slay me! Seriously??? You have all those turkeys around all the time??? We have tons of geese here...

They live out behind the factory where I live. Usually the only come out at dawn and dusk, so I don't normally see them in the summer.
But, this time of year I'm there for both, so see them much more often.

huh, I always thought the DMV is the only place where one can renew one's license?

Here is Massachusetts they let you do it at the Auto Association if you are a member.

She was second in line and it took half an hour.
So, it really didn't save us any time.

She had to renew her license... Hm, what license? Her drivers one?

That sure makes up for dirty hands when she makes the dough.

URGH!! Snow !! Yes, that one driver looks as if he had a tiny bit of troubles.

It was indeed her driving license. They're good for 5 years now, so you don't have to get it done very often.

She was making chocolate cake balls in the photo. So, she was reaching into the cake and grabbing parts to make them into balls before coating them with more chocolate.
It tastes great, but is not clean.

In my country a drivers-licence is for ever. You never have to renew it. I'm glad for that, but in a way, there are a lot of old people on the road that shouldn't be there anymore.
