It was nice having yesterday off. But, this morning was not fun.

It started when I came out of our bedroom that has the air filter. We had the
windows open yesterday as it was very nice out. But, when the pollen hit me
it felt like a hammer on the side of my head. There are always a couple of
weeks each spring it's like this. Usually in late May. My car was so covered
with pollen I needed to use the wipers to clear it off of the windshield.

At work I’ve got two different sales folks after me for two different quality
problems. One isn’t even telling me, he’s just complaining about me to the
CEO. My boss was nice enough to clue me in, but it is still annoying. The
fix for that is going to be a few thousand at least. Hope it works. It
involves cutting an oval hole on a round surface in a thin sheet metal part
that’s prone to denting on the surface that faces the customer when done.
Our COO says it should be so easy anyone can do it. Our machinist (who has
worked on things like the space shuttle, Hubble telescope and a variety of
aircraft and rockets) says it’s “tricky”.

Then, I found I specified the wrong glass size on a special project for a
trade show. I got to find that in my boss’ office when I went to show him
it wasn’t wrong. Great.
The test lab called saying they can’t figure out what tests they should be
doing to our chairs. (I don’t know how “They need the full series, so do
all of them” is confusing.)

But then, my wife showed up with a tray of cookies for me and took me to
lunch.
I know clouds are supposed to have a silver lining, but I’d rather have a
chocolate chip one myself.

When I got back to the office I found that there was a line of people who
had seen the cookies on my desk and were hoping I’d share. And, plotting
in case I didn’t.
“Don’t worry,” my boss said to me. “I’ve held off the wolves. Now, give
me a cookie!”

So, the afternoon is already better. Hopefully it will stay that way.

Are you kidding?
My wife said "should I leave the cover off of the pan so they can smell them?"
She wanted them where they could see them.

Oh.

I forgot you are married to an Evil Woman.

Not evil. She'd get equally mad at me if I didn't share them.
She's just proud of her baking skills, and rightfully so. She has won prizes for it.
