Airport adventures

As I have said before, I was quite sad that when buying tickets to go to Texas I was not able to get my wife and myself on the same flight.
But, our flights were only 15 minutes apart and that shouldn't be too bad.

We both got out of work early today and set off for the airport with 3 1/2 hours to go the 40 miles.

At first we thought we were going to have a lot of time at the airport. The traffic out of Boston was stopped for almost all of the 40 miles. But, going in was easy.
Until we got to downtown and it stopped. Literally, a complete stop under the Prudential tower.
Apparently there was an accident in the tunnel. We got past.
And, it stopped again. No idea why.
A police car pushed past in the tunnel, but we never saw where it went.

But, this is why we leave very early and we got to the airport with plenty of time.

We parked at the terminal for my wife's flights so she will be near the car when she comes back Sunday. She went to her security line, and I walked over to terminal C.
I've been flying in and out of Logan airport since I was 4. I remember when they built terminal C.
But, it was so changed that I actually didn't recognize where I was until I got to my gate. I hadn't really expected it to have been turned into a shopping mall.

My wife and I phoned and texted from our adjoining terminals. First her flight was delayed an hour.
Then, my flight was delayed because the flight crew was missing.
We were assured that they were somewhere in the airport and would be found soon..

Our flight crew was eventually found and we got underway only 1/2 hour late. My wife was still waiting for her plane when I had to shut off my phone, so I don't know how this has turned out yet. Even delayed she should be in the air for some time by now.

Our flight has been sent over to Chicago instead of right to Texas because of some storm in the way. I assume her plane is doing the same, but that's just a guess.

How does a flight crew get lost in an airport? Argh!

As I understand it, they were getting off of one plane to come to ours, had to go back through security to do so, and stopped somewhere along the way to get dinner.
