Faire Day home
When we woke up Saturday morning our car was waiting, wanting to go home.

But, we stopped at the Kentucky Ren Faire first with
pallid_regina and Lance. It was pretty damp.

The fairies apparently had been building bridges, but not for my size.

There was a place I wanted to go visit.

We buy a new piece every year we’re there.
We ordered a pair of the upper center ones, but they’re going to ship them to us.

We watched the Iron Hill Vagabonds. We’ve been watching them since their first performance. They have gotten REALLY good and did a great show, even in the rain with only us watching.

We had lunch at the faire and a long discussion on just what you get for your money.

We visited some more with
pallid_regina and Lance, and then got on the road home about 3.

Of course, the back roads of KY aren’t always the best place to make good time...

We still got to Ohio in not bad time.

There are big parts of Ohio that are just flat and green.

Of course any state that names roads for me can’t be all bad.

But, American Eagles on foreign car shops? Not so sure about that one.

We did stop at a very nice rest area there.

It had vending machines that took credit cards and a squirrel so fat we thought it might be a groundhog.

We kept driving through all of OH and PA, going until midnight.

We stopped at the first hotel after Buffalo for the night.
When we came out in the morning we were surprised to see it near the seeds of a henge.

It seems like a nice town, but we were only there for 7 hours. And, asleep for most of that.

But, the road goes ever on and we wanted to get home.

By noon we were passing through one of my ancestral homelands.

And, soon after we were back in MA.

We were very surprised to find Massachusetts 20F/11C warmer than Kentucky and with some impressive clouds.

By 2 we were back in Worcester with familiar faces.

We stopped for lunch near home, and settled down to get the apartment cool again as we had left the airconditioning off, and to do laundry.

It was a very good trip and we had a great time, but it is still good to get home.
