Planning for Friday
Mar. 26th, 2013 08:38 amFor only 6 days centered around this weekend, there is going to be a Game of Thrones
exhibit shown in New York City.
My wife is a big fan of the show. I usually watch it to the side while
playing on the computer. And, some of the stuff they say they’ll have
looks pretty cool.
As she works for a Jesuit School, she gets the day off. I decided to ask
my boss if I can use one of my remaining comp days for it as well. He said
yes, although hasn’t actually hit the approve button in the computer yet…
NYC is normally 3 hours from us, but the times I drive there are usually
weekends. So, I’m not sure what time to plan on leaving as I don’t know
how bad the traffic will be.
Checking Google maps traffic this morning, it actually looks pretty good:

That’s a whole lot of green for about 8 on a weekday morning.
The other cool thing I found looking into this is that Google Maps now lets
you look inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art! You can see the floor plan
of the museum and do street level views to see inside. That’s way cool!
Even if I can see inside from home, I’m still going to park there when
we’re in the city, and we’ll certainly go in.
If they traffic is going to be this good on Friday, we could get away with
only leaving early. Not having to leave at 5 or something. That would be
nice.
