New furniture today

For the first time since 1988 my wife and I are going to have a new couch
in the living room. In fact, it might well be being carried up the front
stairs as I write this as they called 40 minutes ago and said they’d be
there in 30. (My wife is there to let them in, so I’m just guessing.)

The set up in our living room has been pretty much the same for the last 15
or so years.


But, over the last 4 days we’ve been rearranging, cleaning out and getting
stuff ready for the new stuff today.


I’m hoping all goes well with it. We’ve raised a lot of dust moving
furniture that has been in place for 15 years. This, plus the change to
daylight savings time, has made it hard for me to sleep the last few nights.
Hopefully once the new stuff gets in it will all settle down and things
will go back to normal.

I guess we’ll see.
