Beginning at the end

About 4AM in New Jersey my wife took over driving. I tried to take some pictures of it, but it didn’t work so well.


You can at least see NYC from there.


The sun came up when we were about an hour from home.


Soon, we were back in Worcester, land of giant inflatable polar bears.

And, the Providence/Worcester railroad.


We got home about 7:30.


I let palusbuteo sit in the driver seat of the rental car so he could say he did.


When we returned the rental car we had gone 2791.9 miles with an average gas efficiency of 33.4 MPG.


Then, off to storage to untie everything and put it away.


Then, off to O’Connor’s for lunch. We got it to go.

The owner came up to me as I waited and asked why we were getting it to go.
“We just drove home from Florida,” I said. “My wife said she’d drive in the night if we could come here when we got home.”
He shook my hand.
He asked what we were doing there. I told him a show.
“And, how did Phoenix Sword do at the show?” he asked.
I see he remembers who books Christmas parties for what.
We talked about our show, he showed me his new dining room decorations. We got our food quite quickly and it was 100% correct.

We went home, at food, and sat down in front of the TV.
We ate our very good take out food.
It is good to be home.

I'd have been willing to go help unload the stuff from the car and at storage, although clearly not enough room....
...And, I was sort of glad to be out of the stuffed-to-gills Soob. :/

Some time in the next couple of months my wife and I will be going into NYC. Then you'll see pictures from inside the city, not just across the river.
