Last night I had a very long and involved dream, most of which I have now
forgotten.
I was in an older city, I think somewhere in Europe. It was winter, but
not as cold as it is here in New England. There was no snow, but it was
cold enough that people wore coats and such.

I lived in an old brick building on the second floor. From there I could
look out across a park. I was supposed to watch and see what happened
there and report back to someone.
There was a big section that involved my hiding from the people I was
watching when they spotted me. But, that’s the section I’ve mostly
forgotten.

Eventually, I had to go meet the person and hand off my information.
I left my building through the rear. There was a grassy hill behind the
building with a very low wall at the top. The low, on my side, wall was
actually a fairly tall wall along a walkway on the other side.
As I left my building, I saw a hat and the top of a head up to the eyes
looking at me over the wall.
I walked up the hill to the eyes and suddenly a small bear jumped up on the
wall. The bear was very young, certainly less than a year old, and looked
at me standing there.
The bear made a noise and the man in the hat climbed up the wall and sat on
the edge.
“The bear says you are OK,” he said. “Do you have the information?”
I handed him my report and he put it into his coat.
I patted the bear.
All of a sudden, the bear stood up and looked back towards my building. I
was sure it spotted one of the people that had been chasing me earlier.
Sadly, as the bear was quite young, it wasn’t the best at standing up on
its hind legs and tripped backwards over the wall.
I quickly grabbed for the Bear and caught it by the back leg and pulled it
up onto the wall again.

I think that discussions of my old teddy bear being stolen from me,
suggestions of stealing it back and my listening to the James Bond theme on
my drive home last night all showed up in my dreams last night…
