Last March, the hard drive on my iMac failed. I took it to the Apple
store, they were able to save the data and put in a new one. It cost a
bit, but I thought my data worth it.
About a month ago they sent me an email saying the hard drives on my year
of iMacs were defective and may need to be replaced. If I had already done
that I might get a refund.
But, they make it quite difficult to contact them about this.
If I wanted to schedule a time to come in and have it repaired it would be
easy.
But, sending them an email to say “I had it done and would like a refund”
appears to be impossible.
I’ve now spent weeks looking over their website and cannot find a way to
email them.
I hate making phone calls. I just don’t like calling people at all. I’m
OK being called. I like talking with people. But, calling them? No.
Don’t like that. I’ll call my wife and one of two very close friends, and
that’s it.
OK, at work I’ve got to call people. But, I always go with the email
option first. And, generally if I call people I know it is people who are
in their office to take calls. So, I’m OK with that, getting my call is
their job.
But outside of work? I just don’t like doing it.
It amazes me that Apple computer doesn’t have an email option. How can
that not be an option for contacting them? They send me email all the
time. This whole thing started because of an email!
This is very annoying to me.
