After I got out of work Saturday, my wife and I drove over to a big liquor store in Westboro named Julios. We were getting some beer to bring to

evrgreen’s and some wine to bring to

cissa &

cosmicirony’s.

It’s been more than 26 years since I gave up drinking. And, there have been times I was very tempted to go back to it.

They’ve got a lot of it there, that’s for sure.

The bottles are more interesting that I remember.

But, back when I drank I didn’t have a lot of money. So, the good stuff was probably always more interesting and I just didn’t know it.

The ones that really tempt me are the strange ones.

I do wonder, what do they taste like.

But, then something always happens that reminds me of what, in the long run, they taste like to me.

Oh yeah. That reminds me, some time this summer I’ve got to replace some of those caps on my teeth from that incident back in 1983...

So, I treat it like a dare. I can go in and come out and not have any of it. Even if I carry a box of it to my car.
