Phoenix Open House

Yesterday we had an open house for Phoenix Swords to try and get some new members.
Lots of people showed up.

But, that was because folks who often car pool did not.
We only got one new person, and it was the mother of one of our members who wanted to see what her son was up to.


So, we had practice anyhow.


We did a fair bit of the historical stuff. There was one question about stance.


But, once a belt was applied to sagging pants, it got better.


Yes, blue_micha has taken on the job of troupe pants fixer.

perrin_o_ravnos was there to help with some other aspects as well, even if he didn’t fix anyone’s pants.


We also did some fire practice.



My wife had made cookies for the open house. It was a triple batch, and they all disappeared. So, if we were to get new people, I guess she would have had to make even more.

I'm glad the practice went well, if not the open house. As for the cookies, the more Temper makes the more that will be eaten. Truly cookies of the gods.

It is one of those axioms of physics, that the number of cookies made will always equal the number of cookies eaten, especially when your wife is the maker of the cookies!
