Today my sister turns 64, which is 8*8.
This fall I’ll turn 49, which is 7*7.
The last time we were both squares of numbers at the same time was 1964
when she was 16, 4*4, and I was 1, 1*1.  And, my wife was born!
So, who knows what will happen this time!

While it has been 17 ½ years since I last heard from my sister, I do wish
her the best on her birthday.
And, despite promises not to intrude in her life, did send her a card with
the whole square thing.
I know it doesn’t count as leaving the country or someone in the family
dying, which are the two exceptions that allow me to contact her.  But, I
thought it was cool enough to break the rules.  And, they are rules I made
that she never answered to confirm, so I get to change them, right?

Hey, how can it be bad to wish someone well? I know, I know, for some people it just IS, but I'm going to say a resounding, "RIGHT!" to your question there.

That's nifty.

My sister does not want to be reminded of her past. So, wishing her well can be bad for her.
So, I try and respect that and keep away. Sometimes it is harder than others.
And, I've got to keep in mind that what I want is not what she wants.

But, come on, a double square year for the first time in 48 years? How can I let that pass?
