It’s hard to tell if my wife and I have a cold or the allergies, which are
rated 11.3 out of 12 today, are really hitting us hard.
My wife thinks we have colds, and she may well be right. I can’t tell the
difference as the symptoms are almost identical.
The upshot of this is, very little sleep last night due to coughing and
runny noses.
But, it is that kind of awake that isn’t good for much. Some times I’m
awake because I’m excited, angry, upset or just have too much energy to
sleep. Those times I can do stuff when awake.
This kind I’m awake because I can’t breath right but am still very, very
tired. So, not useful.
But, it does also get my mind stuck on things.
In my office, the sun comes right in to my work area each morning it is
sunny.
We have blinds, but the sun comes in right in the middle. SO, you have to
close off the whole window where only a small amount would do.
So, I fixed that.

It is remarkably hard to do that.
Not only do you have to cut the cords that run through it, there are little
spring bits that are very resistant to being broken with a set of needle
nose pliers.
But, I was determined.
Of course, looking out my window raise other problems.

Do climate models take into account the greater amount of wind friction
when all the trees sprout leaves?
They must, right? How else could they be even close to accurate? Are
they even close to accurate?
Looking quickly though google, I don’t see anything on it. I see lots of
plant growth and the effects of wind on it. Or evaporation from leaves
based on wind speed.
But not “does the high amount of rain in the spring influenced by the
emergence of leaves and an increase in hemispheric air friction”.
Or, is it global? It’s fall in the south while spring in the north. If
they lose leaves as we gain them, is there is shift in patterns due to the
change in friction.
There is a lot more land above the equator. So, the effect might be more
in the south.
Well, that’s the sort of thing I think about when I’m tired. At least when
I’m not vandalizing shades.
