We got to Mobile in about 24 hours. That is the record for the most amount of time I've taken on the trip down south, but still hours short of the over all troupe record. And, almost all of the time loss was up north in overnight construction along route 95.
But, we got here. One car of folks from KY appear not to have been so lucky and suffered some major car problems and had to turn around and go back. But, the show must go on, so we will.
It is very nice to see the folks who did make it. My wife bought everyone dinner and we had a nice visit before my wife and I went to crash from all the driving we've done.

Date: 2010-11-13 04:02 am (UTC)Glad everyone made it safe, even the ones who had the breakdown and had to turn back :( That stinks
but then, considering past experiences, some vehicle at some point on a road down there will encounter a breakdown, accident, whichever.
we've even had a time when an airliner had to come in "hot and heavy"
but everything works out in the end.
Have a great weekend!!!
