The sound of snoring

I’m having trouble sleeping tonight, which is why I’m on the computer at 2AM.
My wife came out and lay down on the couch to be with me even if I can’t sleep.

I really like to listen to her snore as she sleeps there.
That may sound strange. But, we’ve been together 27 years so I’ve long since gotten used to the noise. Now it is the noise I hear when we’re both in bed relaxed and comfortable.
If she isn’t there for some reason I have a hard time sleeping. I’ve got to turn on the radio or something as I can no longer sleep when it is quiet.

What can I say? It’s my comfort sound.

(Besides, isn't there something comforting about watching someone you love sleep? More than once I've woken up the man or the cat to take a picture of them because they're so adorable when they're asleep...)

I understand what he's talking about. I did enjoy hearing the sound of my ex breathing/sleeping while laying on my chest. It was very
comforting.
