Big day coming

This Friday will be 27 years since I met my wife. For those of us obsessed
with numbers and different ways of looking at things, this is a big deal
because that is 3 to the 3rd.
(And, for special effect, there are three dates that we argue over which
was our real “first date” so there is an extra 3 in there for those of you
who like them. Of course this one that is our first meeting, neither one
of us really think of as a date, but don’t ruin the 3’s!)
The last number to its own power was in 1987 when it was 2 to the 2nd, or 4
years.
I don’t think I can wait for the 4 to the 4th which will be in 2239 after
256 years since our meeting. Even if I just waited until the 4 to the 3rd
there are some pretty big risks. That would be in 2047 when I am 84 years
old. As my father only lived to 85, that would be cutting it pretty close.
As my grandfather only made it to 49 and I’m 46 ¾ now, I might be pushing
this one as it is.
So, I’ve got to get the most out of this one that I can.
Keeping in mind that she’s doing a sword fighting show all day Saturday and
we’ve got a special Phoenix practice and fire practice on Sunday, Friday is
the only day I’ve got for this. And, it is our actual anniversary anyhow,
so it works out.
I have been told that going out for sushi is not enough.
Not that going out for sushi isn’t nice. But, it is too common.
After all, we go to that sushi place at least once a week. Often enough to
have not only our own table, but our own waiter as well.
(I’m giving serious thought to suggesting that be my final resting place.
“What’s that little urn next to the soy sauce?” “Oh, that’s Frank. He
loved this place. Once a week we toss a crab stick in there and we don’t
get haunted.”)
So, that leaves the big question of what to do?
My wife has requested something to do with lobster.
But, what?
As I haven’t done a poll in a while I thought I’d give people a chance to
vote on it.
(Keep in mind, this is a non-binding resolution.)
You can, of course, suggest something else as well…

Common and every day items just don't add up to 3
