I had been asked to make a presentation about the robotic freezer I’m working on to the manufacturing department so they have a clue what they’re in for when it’s done.
So, I made up a dozen or so slides about the machine in PowerPoint, emailed it over to the iPad, plugged in the video adaptor (sold separately) and projected them up on the conference room wall.
“You can do that from your iPad?” the head of manufacturing asked me.
“Yeah, this is the sort of thing I bought it for,” I told him.
“I can’t do that with my iPhone,” he said.
“I know,” I said. “That’s why I didn’t get one of those.”
The presentation went well. And, this sort of thing is exactly why I wanted the iPad. So, I’m happy to see it does do the sort of thing I hoped from it.

I bet that at least (2) more

ipads are sold within the next 2 weeks to people who work at your company - Apple should be giving you some sort of commission. Or, maybe like that Direct TV thing - if your friend buys an ipad because you referred them, you get a rebate and they get some additional discount. I'm sure that Apple is making plenty of money on these things that they could afford $25-$50 in rebates per item to further accelerate their sales (tho it doesn't seem they are lacking for sales-demand either at this time).
