The Memorial part II
Dec. 12th, 2009 05:23 pmBrad had bought two displays of flowers, one in my wife’s name, one in Jean’s brother’s name.

The ones my wife had ordered were also there.

It’s hard to make out, but the fountain we borrowed from

My wife and her uncle sat up near the front together, supporting each other through what must have been very hard for both of them.

There was a good sized crowd of folks who showed up.

My wife did a very good job of reading the eulogy she wrote for her mother.

Afterwards, we headed to her cousins house.

It’s just down the road from where my wife lived when we first met.

They just got a new puppy what was very cute.

By the end of the night she was quite tired.

Lots of our friends where there in addition to my wife’s family.

A good number of my wife’s family and their other relatives showed up. It was good my wife stocked her cousin’s bar with beer.

My wife and her uncle seemed to appreciate all who turned out.

The next night, we met her family at the O’Connor’s restaurant.

It was good to see that although still sad, we could get her uncle to smile and even laugh a bit.

I’m glad we were able to meet up with them. It seemed to mean a lot to my wife and her uncle.
