The worst has happened

That blight to my crops has appeared!*


Yes! A squirrel has discovered my window box!


It showed little fear of humans and didn’t leave until I actually opened the door to go after it.
Hopefully it won’t return. Hopefully when it does it won’t like onions. Hopefully it won’t see the mellon in between the onions.
I guess squirrel trap needs to be added to my project list.

Game night was fun.
julytooth brought a magnet game we hadn’t played before. Not too many people there tonight, but still fun.


*Yeah, my crops are one window box. But, onions, mellon and garnish can still be crops. I’m not saying I’m a farmer. But, I had hopes of growing something I could eat.

Squirrel conspiracy!

Perhaps you can devise something that would snap large rubber bands at the squirrels if they try to get into the box. Perhaps a few snaps in the head will scare them off - We could work up an electrical solution too - a home made taser though that might become problematic if you venture out to harvest or weed and forget to turn it off!

We have a rubber band gun, they are just brazen and wait for the door. And Bobcat poo did not dissuade them
