I am quite surprised, but happy about that.

It is for 11. I have no idea how long it will take. If it doesn't take too long (a bad sign) I'll be happy to meet for lunch.
But, I expect it will take at least a couple of hours unless they just give me the boot...

Once you get in and they have a need of a graphics person to design packaging for lasers...achem...

(then again, you do have experience with 'packaging' with the work you did on Synclaviers...That was a mix of design, layout and engineering, yes?)

I am sure that you will do well in the interview.

Even if you don't end up with that job, it is always good to get some interviews under the belt to refine/adjust your interview skills. And, ya never know - they may decide that they really could use someone with your skillset & experience level as well as an "optics guy"!

Try to relax a bit and don't sweat it - I'm sure that you'll make a very good impression no matter how it turns out - as long as you don't wear that hat in the interview :-P

Well, I guess that you can BRING the hat with you, but personally, I think that I'd keep it in the car during the interview - until you determine whether or not they are "into" you or not with your diverse background.

You wouldn't want to end up like a Dilbert-strip!
