I took my car in for a tune up yesterday. I was fearing the worst.
After all, it has more than 230,000 miles on it.
(If I was driving to the moon, I’d be 98.71% of the way there. I’m pretty sure I could coast from here.)

But, the mechanics say it’s in pretty good shape. The tires are getting a bit weak, but I knew that. They changed the plugs and filters and say the rest should be good to go.
That means some bus will probably rear end a car sending it flying through the air to land on my station wagon destroying it. (That wouldn’t really happen twice, would it?)
But, for now, my car is doing well.

Awesome.

yeah my car has got it's tweaks and needs some work/tune up soon, but still goes strong.

I had no idea about the trip to the moon...That's pretty cool/crazy.

My car is not to scale in the drawing above. But, the Earth, moon and distance are...

Well, we are over 90% of the way anyhow.

After we deal with what I expect will be sending a check to Uncle Sam before April 15, I think that we're going to look into replacing our "moon rocket". It still has life left in it and runs pretty well, but I get the feeling that the next time it is going to need more than just an oil change it will end up being a big expense... call it a "car-monition"!

That's what I thought about my car too.
That's why I'm so happy about it!
