Welcome to March
Mar. 2nd, 2009 11:28 amJust because the end of February was snow free and warm, I did not think winter was over. After all we’ve had storms dumping feet of snow on us into April in the past.
Today’s wasn’t too bad.

The real problem is that a lot of towns in the area are out of money to plow the snow. So, they leave it where it is an hope it goes away.
The town I live in seems to be one of these towns.
I had the most trouble today getting out of our parking lot. Second most getting to the highway. But, once I got there it wasn’t too bad.

The only real problem I had on the highway was when my windshield wiper somehow stuck to a bit of snow, flipped over and pulled out of its support rod.
That left the wiper flopping upside down on the glass while the rod went back and forth trying to mark it’s normal route on the glass.
I pulled over and put it back together again.
I am glad there wasn’t much traffic as pulling out was tough in the snowy break down lane.
Apparently, there was enough snow for the yeti to come out.

At least that’s my story and I’m sticking with it. It certainly wasn’t

Date: 2009-03-03 12:08 am (UTC)For some reason cleaning off my car this afternoon leaving work, I too had my wiper suddenly slide off the mount, although not while driving...But it's still odd I too had wiper problems. I'm really glad you had no problems fixing it despite being on the highway....I always cringe when I see people off on the side...I know I've been there, with a flat tire...with the breakdown lane half-assed plowed out. Not fun.
too bad your apartment isn't plowed out well enough, I hope that'll be better when I come Friday morning.
