Week, more or less, in photos
Nov. 28th, 2024 11:05 amA lot of my problems at work the last couple of weeks have been over how tightly you can bend cable. I say it can do the middle circle, the factory in China say it can’t bend tighter than the outer circle.
Had to redesign several parts for that bigger turn radius. But, the inner one is clearly impossible. Right?

Of course, maybe I shouldn’t put too much credit into folks who put up a projection screen this way…

I did outright refuse to carry this in my luggage. It’s an ultrasonic flow meter, but looks far worse than that. And, it’s value alone is greater than I’m allowed to carry on me across the border. So, not in my luggage.

I told them to ship that and I’d catch up with it there.
It will be a long way to go from home. Sad my wife won’t be with me for this trip.

Last weekend we did visit my aunt. The signs to her new retirement home are there, if not prominent.

When we got there we were told she was at the morning "music and dance" class that she was very excited to attend.

Once we woke her up we did have a nice visit. This place is clearly better than the last one she was in and she seems to be doing better due to that.

It is certainly late fall. Trees without leaves, sunrise and set during work hours and frost on the cars in the morning.

This does not help folks driving.

On my way home yesterday a bunch of turkeys decided to play chicken with cars in the road.

I’m not sure if this is in protest to the main entree across the US today or them trying to get revenge. Unlike other drivers, I did not yield to the angry birds and they did get out of my way.

Date: 2024-11-29 03:31 am (UTC)It does seem kinda silly to fly you to China just to show them you can (Hulk-Twist) the cable into a tighter circle than normal.
