Last Friday we were supposed to meet at our place at 9 and head south as a caravan. By the time the trash truck showed up at 9:15, no one was here, so we left without them.

The weather was good and we made fairly good time.

Just as we got to New York City and saw the bridge to New Jersey, we met up with Casey’s car.

Then, we turned south towards the job and he got on the ramp to head back home…

When we got to Delaware Google sent us on a very strange detour through a swamp. Maybe just so we got a good look at the nuclear plant nearby.

But, we did get there eventually.

Daniel, the entertainment director, was frantically relaying out the faire after finding about 1/3 of the space they were promised was not actually usable.

It is very much farmland and swamp. Any way you go takes you through a farm and over a bridge. But, Google really seems to want to have you try them all.

Sunday morning was very foggy. Even the birds wanted to stay put.

When we got there the truck to empty the porto-johns was blocking the road. They did eventually let us through. But, it is important work they’re doing…

The weather was not as good on Sunday.

It did clear up and the stars came out at night.

The way home Monday had a lot of traffic.

I did see a motorcycle club that reminded me of chaquir’s stories as they were planning out their trip and how to get everyone there safetly.

We did get home and were both very tired.
I ended up doing 4 loads of laundry today to catch up, and am still tired…

It is so interesting that somehow Bridge architecture hasn't gone as dystopian as house architecture has. Many relatively modern bridges have a quite appealing aesthetic.

The bridge with the ...duoliths(?)... calls the Öresund bridge to mind. I don't expect you to be familiar with that, it connects Sweden and Denmark, and was a central element to the acclaimed TV series The Bridge.

Definitely easier to get to the bridge from Denmark. Denmark is the size of a stamp, whereas long Sweden is about 10.5 Denmarks in size, and most of it is far away from the bridge. Although, with my bias, I'd recommend Sweden over Denmark any day : þ
