We’ve been doing the Mystic Realms Fantasy Faire since 2003, but the last two years have been cancelled.
This year, it was on again and we were asked back.

To celebrate, my wife bought one of those prop vases we could use in the show. We were worried about how it arrive, but couldn’t hear rattling.

Friday morning we picked up ravena_kade at the train station and headed south.

We made good time, stopped for lunch, and were still a bit early for set up time.

Saturday morning everyone was there by 7 so we could practice before the rehearsal at 8.

Our first show was the historical.

Then, the stage show as part of the main story of the faire. I was a bandit along with the oldest child of glass, the others were all good guys who drive us off.

Then, another historical show.

Then, the second stage show.

It might not be clear in the photos, but the weather was perfect. Cool, but not cold. Dry. Sunny. A bit windy, but we weren’t doing fire so that is fine.

After the show everyone went out for dinner. It’s hard to find a table for 65 these days. The Chinese place we went to for years is take away only these days. Finally we settled at Olive Garden. Never been to one before. But, they were the only ones that would take a group that size.
