Phoenix Swords and the trees of glass
Dec. 13th, 2008 10:34 pm
Once upon a time the US Marines needed our help. They were going to bring toys to children who needed them and wanted everyone to help. We were called in to entertain the people so they would donate toys. (Let’s face it. Marines can do a lot, but entertaining isn’t really their strong point. Gomer doesn’t count.)
But, the day before we were to set out to help them, a terrible spell was cast turning the forest to glass.

We set out to reach the Marines, and the people they wanted to entertain, but the trees of glass were in our way.

Our path through the woods and past the lake was blocked by mighty tress that had fallen and blocked the road.

We had to turn aside from our lake road and journey over many hills, valleys and strange places to reach our goal.

The whole journey, the tress of glass tried to stop us from reaching the Marines and helping the Children.

But, after many adventures in strange lands, we reached the people we were there to help.

But, like a question mark over our heads, what to do to entertain them?

We remembered it was the Christmas season.

So, we raised our poles high.

And, danced a Christmas dance.

It helped that

However, not everyone wanted to dance.

And, when made to, grew angry.

One by one, we all took turns tugging on his belt until he was no longer angry.

But, this still left questions hanging over our heads.

Should people line dance?

Or dance with a more circular motion?

And, it was always important to tie our shoes first.

We finally agreed that how we danced wasn’t the important part. Having a good time and entertaining the people was what mattered.

We danced and danced and all had a good time.
At the end, the Christmas elves congratulated us on a job well done.
