A short drive from where we live is the Tower Hill Botanical Garden:
https://www.towerhillbg.org
We’ve been there many times before and are members of the institution.
For October they had a special "wings" exhibit my wife wanted to see. So, after I got my third Covid shot off we went.
The day had started rainy, and there were still plenty of clouds, but it was a lot better than the day before.

There is a lot of construction going on there, so some help in where to go is useful.

My wife had her photo taken with all the wings.

They also had an arrangement contest going on that had some very nice pieces.

And, benches!

November is going to be Gnomember, so lots of gnomes out there.

And, we did walk around the grounds a lot.

The finger is for scale.

These shots were 3 seconds apart in different directions. The weather was weird.

Bees were still out.

Then, home and grocery shopping.

If you hadn’t bought Halloween candy yet, too bad.

At sunset we went back to Tower Hill for their fall light show.

When we had been there earlier the woman in charge of checking people in asked us our opinions of how the line was set up. We gave her our thoughts and told her we’d be back to see how it went.
When we checked in she looked over at me and asked "Good enough?"
"Very nice," I replied.
She gave me a double thumbs up.

It was darker than the camera makes it seem.

Same spot day and night.

It was a good time. Last year it snowed. This was much nicer.
