One of my friends on facebook asked folks to google his name and tell him what came up.
Long ago he used to be in Phoenix Swords and these days he does a lot of voice over work for commercials and radio spots.
So, I assured him that is what his name was linked with, not the sword stuff.

It did get me to put in my own name and see what comes up.

My name is not that uncommon. So, I expected a lot of things not connected to me.
I was happy to see that I did show up on the first page of results.

What surprised me more was that my grandfather did too, but my father did not.
All three of us are Frank Hunt, but the middle name changes. (But, not the middle initial...)

You could say that my father dying 21 years ago means that he is not likely to come on on a current google search.
But, my grandfather died 86 years ago. So, if 21 is enough to bump you off google, why is 4 times that not?

I went 10 pages into the search and still did not find anything that referenced my father.

Of the three of us, I’m the only one who has ever been even close to active on line. So, I’m not surprised I come up in the searches.

But, it was a total surprise to me that my grandfather would and father wouldn’t...

I know google tailors searches based on cookies and search histories and such. (Which was the whole reason my friend asked what others found in their search that started this.) So, it is unlikely anyone but me would see this particular arrangement of results. But, I still find it very interesting.
