Another dream with guest stars

I’ve been re-reading the Lord of the Rings.
And, at work I’m getting ready to hire a new engineer for my department.
These things mixed in my dream last night.

I dreamed we had hired Elrond as the new engineer in my department.
He had great skill and could make almost anything work.
But, he was very dramatic about it.

“The freezer rack that was broken has been forged again!” He’s say.
“Yes, you only had to push it on the side to take out the bend. It’s not hard...”

“The great cold has come upon the machine!”
“Well, we’re making robot freezers, they are supposed to be cold...”

“Long have I struggled against this foe!”
“Are the parts going to be ready Friday or not?”

In the end the other folks in my department complained enough about him that I had to have a talk with him. I don’t know if he took it well or not as he went and hid in his cube and wouldn’t come out.
“I shall defend this refuge against all save the dark one himself!”
“That would be HR. Don’t make me call them...”


When I told my wife about this dream this morning she said that if we got Elrond in engineering we should get Sauron for sales.
“I didn’t want to buy it, but then I found it in my pocket when I got home and a bill showed up delivered by this guy in dark clothes...”
