So, now it’s official: I’m old

Now, I hadn’t expected to find myself old at 45. After all, my father lived to be more than 40 years older than I am now. He kept having kids until he was 50. He worked well into his 70’s, not counting the consulting he did after he officially retired.

I’d like to blame it on the fact that the bedroom was fairly dark this morning. And, the text in question is off white on a grey background and somewhat hard to see even in good lighting.
But, I can’t. There are too many other signs that got missed.

So, the day after I turned 45, as I sat on the toilet at work, I couldn’t deny the truth.
“Oh look,” I said seeing the writing on my underwear at my feet. “I put them on inside out.”
I looked closer.
“And, backwards.”

Yep.
Old.

I can feel that the undies don't quite feel right if I have them on backwards.

Inside out, though, I don't recall having that happen..But I'm 15 years behind you so there's time yet... *rolls eyes*
