More adventures in November
Nov. 3rd, 2008 09:50 amWe’re getting very close to the Mobile AL show. Sunday was our second to last practice before we head down south. Like last week, we had a guest reviewer to look at our fights.

Curtis was the founder of the group that came before Phoenix Swords. He was always quite an idea man, and a lot of the stuff we do in Phoenix was stuff he thought of 8 years ago. (Like the fire show. We still use his design for the fire swords.) A lot isn’t too. (Like the historical work and stage shows.) But, it is still interesting to hear what he has to say seeing what we do these days.
Last week everyone but
Sitting around in street clothes with few folks watching, it’s easy to say “Wait, let me try that again.”

I did wear the “ninja shoes” my wife gave me for practice.


They work pretty well. Good grip on the soles. (Those who point out they aren’t true ninja shoes miss the point.)
My wife left early to bring her mother to the Dolly Parton concert, but the rest of us went off to dinner.
As with the day before, it was a beautiful day. Getting to the practice grounds involves driving around a reservoir and that is almost always nice to see. But, this time of year it’s really great.


Yesterday my wife gave me a noodle bowl and some chopsticks to use at work. They were very nice, but sadly I forgot them at home today.
a great idea for a movie -

OK, so maybe it isn't the greatest idea I've ever had.
What else can we do for "national beard month" ?
