Yesterday afternoon we had a phone call with one of our big customers in New York City. Only their project manager was available as the rest of their group was doing demos for the customer.
Throughout the conversation she kept calling me “hon”. Don’t know if she couldn’t remember my name, or just didn’t care.
“Don’t worry about that, hon, we’ve got it covered.”
“You never expect the machines to break, hon, but you’ve got to prepare for it.”
“I’ll have them call you, hon, and work out the details.”
After the call, our senior systems engineer, Tiffany, asked me about it.
“I’m surprised it didn’t bother you,” she said.
“Well, once people start to associate you with Atilla, what can you do?” I replied.
“It was hon not hun!” our test engineer said.
“Are you sure?” Tiffany asked him. “She knows he sword fights since he’s walked out of her meetings to go to do them.”
Who knows?
I go with Attilla…
