Blessed by the queen of the fey
Jan. 12th, 2019 09:04 pmToday I was getting my hair cut. As I sat in the chair and the woman who cuts my hair talked about things, I closed my eyes as she worked on the hair over my face.
When I opened my eyes, sitting behind me was an older woman in a gold robe with silver arrayed around her head, green eyebrows and a bight light shining behind her head.
It is very rare for me to see major fey in Worcester, but this was clearly the queen.
We locked eyes and she smiled and nodded to me.
I tilted my head to her and closed my eyes again.
A short while later, Tricia said "All done! Let’s schedule your next appointment."
As I got up out of the chair, I saw the same woman sitting in the chair behind me again. She looked just the same as before.
I went over to the desk, paid and made the next appointment.
As I walked to the door, I turned towards the woman.
"I don’t mean to intrude," I said. "But, the silver in the hair makes it look like a crown, and with the gold robe it looks very nice."
"Why thank you young man," a voice said off to my right.
I turned and there was a twin to the woman sitting there smiling.
Well, fey do that, right?
"You both look fantastic," I told both of them.
"You have a good day!" the one on the right said.
"I will. You as well!"
Being told to have a good day is quite a blessing from the queen of the fey!
OK, OK.
Some folks might say that two older sisters came into the same salon to have their hair colored. Silver foil is used for that and it could look like a crown. Although I had a black cloth draped over me for my haircut, others might get a gold one.
But, is that really more likely than the queen of the fey?
No, I don’t think so.
And, what about the green eyebrows?
On both of them?
