Week in photos

Monday was the first Monday this week.
As it was New Year’s Day, my wife and I had it off.
I didn’t feel well, but agreed to go to a house party, even though it was cold.


People did not make "drive well" a new year’s resolution.


I came away sick from that party and had to cancel going to dinner with some friends. I felt bad for that, but I just wasn’t up to go.

Tuesday was back to work, making it the second Monday of the week. Needing access to a bathroom once an hour made the 50 minute drive to work tricky, but I managed it.
Wednesday was about the same.
But at least my car was not covered in snow.


Thursday we got more than a foot of snow, so I worked from home.


It was also pretty windy. This led to some strange snow hangings.


I’m just as glad I worked from home.


That made Friday the third Monday of the week. The good news was that the wind cleaned most of the snow off of my car.


Friday was very cold. So cold that my breath froze on the inside of the windshield as well as ice on the outside.


It was so cold that when I went for lunch at McDonald’s, the soda machine had frozen and they could only give soda in cans.


Today was even colder, causing big icicles.


I guess the apartment complex was worried about it as they sent people up to our roof.


There was a lot of stomping up there.


Then, the snow came down.



My wife and I did go out a bit today. It was so cold my tires showed low pressure. I couldn’t fill them as the caps were frozen on so much I couldn’t get them off.
It is supposed to get above freezing this coming week. Maybe I’ll do the tires then.
