I’m about half way through level 21 at Pokemon Go. I still have a lot of trouble finding rare creatures.
It seems that if I wanted Pidgies, Weedles and Rattas, I would never get bored.

But, I want to get the rare creatures. And, enough of them to evolve them and such.

Today I went up to the center of town where there are 7 Pokestops. I set off one of the incenses to attract Pokemon and walked around for 1/2 hour.
I got Pidgies, Weedles and Rattas.

To me, that seems like a big waste in incense and such. Why do you have to use things like that and get nothing other than the most common things out of it?
Don’t like that.

At the supermarket Friday I got this:

It is only the second one I’ve seen.
The last one I saw was 6 weeks ago.

After I got back from the center of town and using my incense, I stopped at the supermarket and got this.

I’ve seen them on top of gyms before, but never been able see one to be caught.
There it was in the produce section.

So, given the capture history this afternoon:

Incense and such do no good at all.

Supermarkets, they have rares…

When we were on the cruise on Boston harbor I saw a fair number of Magnemites near the container loading port area. Not enough to evolve one, but 2 or 3. If the boat had spent more time there I might have seen more.
I've only seen the one Voltorb, but it was near the water down on Cape Cod.

I had been seeing the outline of what must have been the Snorlax for about a week before I actually saw it. So, maybe once they move in the stay a while? Don't know.

When we were in Manhattan I saw ones I've never seen before and haven't since. (
Scyther & Kadabara) Central Park would seem to be a good place to look for them, but I wasn't there for very long.

Tauros seem to be city dewellers. I've only seen them in NYC and Boston...

So I've seen one Kadabara. Guess where? Yep - Ft Myers. Scythers seem a bit more common - I got a few of them on my exercise route in Winter Garden and I caught a 1473 cp somewhere in South Florida (I think I was a 24 when I caught it).

Disney Springs is supposed to be the best Pokemon location in Central Florida - sooner or later I will make it over there and give you a report.

In the meantime it is a bit surprising that the best pokemon are in Ft Myers :)
