Having satisfied my desire to visit the round table, my wife and I went off to another castle to satisfy her desire to see stones piles on top of each other.

It’s a pay to park system where you pay at a station and put something on your dashboard to prove it.

I set a time to make sure we’d get back in time.

For some reason, I only ever see this place when the river next to it is at low tide.

This is the tower we didn’t go up because of the stairs that would scare my wife.

Some were better than others.
These are the "good" ones.

Despite her fear of heights, she went right up some places.

Not too much worry about balance or spinning…

I mentioned she likes stones on stones, right?

This was staged…

It is a long thin castle that is more like three castles in a line with walls connecting them. Maybe because that’s how the built it…

Either way, we had fun going up, down and around inside it.

I’m not used to looking down at crows in trees.

This wicker statue was new to me.

My wife seemed to like this one a lot.

Hey, that’s us!

The original doorway to the first castle still has some carvings over it.

One of the things about this castle is it still has some very early doors.

Yes, yes, they had benches…

A nice castle. I’m glad we visited it.

Well, DUH, it's a freggin CASTLE! How can one NOT have fun going all about inside it?
I have a very hard time imagining people who built and lived in these things DIDN'T try to have a little bit of fun
designing, building and running around in the things, can't have been 100% Dead Serious about it all the time :D

The picture of your wife in the arched window is awesome.

I'm looking through all your posts and not commenting much. I am enjoying the pictures.

I'm glad you like that one, I do too.

I asked her to come back to that window as I didn't get the camera out in time the first time...

Comments are not required. Thank you for looking at them!

Loved the look of this castle.

Do you not have pay and display your ticket parking in the US. It's quite common here as well.

There are some places that do it here.
But, more here give you a ticket when you go in and you pay when you go out.
You don't have to display anything when you're in the lot, but it is gated so you can't get in or out without the ticket.
