Hancock, the movie...
Jul. 17th, 2008 10:02 amSo, for 25 years together my wife and I had take out Chinese food and went to see the movie Hancock.
(OK, some people have said they don’t think that’s super romantic from 25 years together. I said we should go to Burger King for French Fries like we did back in 83. She said she hates BK and just because all I could afford back then was french fries was no reason not to have food we like now.)
We both liked the movie. It’s not any deep kind of thing, but was fun. I can see how some folks might not like it as all the commercials are from the first 20 minutes and not really what the film is about. But, I still thought it was fine.
I’ve read the things of some people who really hate it, and I think they missed the point of the thing.

Date: 2008-07-17 03:30 pm (UTC)It's not a goofy drunk superhero movie as shown in the ads. There is some of that, but more of the movie is about why he acts that way. Maybe that makes it a chick flick, I don't know.
I certainly have never heard of a chick flick that has what he does to the two guys in prison in it. There was something like it in a South Park episode...
