The balloon my wife gave me last July when I got home from one of my trips to Atlanta has just started to lose buoyancy now. http://fbhjr.livejournal.com/901441.html
I trimmed some of the streamers off of the bottom and it again took its place against the ceiling.

That’s pretty good for a 10 1/2 month old balloon!
The flowers are out near work. They are nice and pretty and all. I’m not as allergic to them as other things as they work by luring bees. It’s the ones that share without help that get to me.

I saw something strange driving in the other day.

What I think is strange is actually the small cloud bank at the bottom. It is floating above the Assabet river.

But, at this point in its travels, the Assabet river is about as wide as our living room. And, our living room is not that wide. I’m sure most people don’t even know it is there as they drive across it as it fits through a cement pipe at this point.
So, I’m very surprised it makes enough of a difference in the air above it to get its own cloud bank.
But, it does.
I’m hoping the pollen gets better soon. You can see the bad wave sweep out of the south with the warm weather in the spring. Then, the places it has past follow it out of the south. Not here yet. We’re still the red bit on the upper right.

It isn’t helping that we’ve had less rain than normal. And, far more localized than normal too. Thursday it rained one town away from where I work, but not where I work.

Of course, I still had to drive through it…

But, Friday my car was again covered with pollen.

Yes, it had been rained on less than 24 hours before, so this is one day’s pollen.

In other news, they seem to have started rebuilding the town library. It looks like they are making a bigger parking lot. That would be very good.

It was not that long ago that I couldn’t see this view because of the snow bank taller than me. So, I’m not knocking the warmer weather.

And, it is nice to have things green again.

We got in some of the new Phoenix Swords business cards. My wife designs them and has a company print them for us. I think they came out well. (And, not just because I’m in both of them…)

Date: 2015-05-30 06:03 pm (UTC)The photo on mine is not from Wales, but is from a night time fire show 7 years ago: (4th down on the left)

The one I use as my default icon comes from the same shows: (Bottom image)

We did that show for a number of years, but they got rid of the night time part in 2009.
Ah well. IT was an inconvenient distance from home and made us silly:

OK, it made me silly...
