Question for Star Trek fans

My wife and I got into a discussion last night and can't decide the answer.

Would sehlats be more logical than bears?

Well From what I remember there was a domesticated version they kept as pets and a wild version. So Wild would be a lot like bears, and domesticated more like maybe wolf mixes here And more logical than a bear.

That's a really tough question because I've seen evidence that sehlats and bears can both be logical. I'm not sure which is the more logical.

well, I could assume they would be more logical because the Vulcans like having them as pets. I can't see a Vulcan liking some of the dopey dogs I have had in the past... and I think an Earth Bear would be so bearlike in emotions that they would swat a Vulcan expecting it to be logical.
