Is that a bad sign?

At today’s sword show there were some very interested audience members.

One young man was a student at the university at which we were performing.
He came to our shows. He asked a lot of sword related questions. He helped us pack up the tent.
He was very nice, helpful and interested in what we did.

As he helped us pack up the car I thanked him for all the help.

"My name’s Frank," I said, holding out my hand to shake his.
"Anakin," he said.
"No, I mean my real name is Frank, not my stage name."
"Anakin is my real name."

So, I guess we spent all day giving sword lessons to the future Darth Vader.
Not sure how I feel about that…

Pretty sure if he is The future Darth Vader, his parents saddling him with Anakin for his real name will hold more responsibility for his path than you. Reminds me though that, while my parents ultimately chose Rebecca Anne for my name over Arwen Undomiel, I met a woman at a Highlander convention who's parents did actually name her Arwen.

Anakin is a cool name, unless you're named that and you really hate Star Wars. If I had a daughter I would consider calling her Jaina. For Star Wars reasons and Warcraft!

I doubt he'll join while he is a student 2 3/4 hour drive away, each direction, from our practice area.
But, maybe when he graduates if he moves to this area...
