Yesterday’s practice
Apr. 13th, 2015 07:22 pmIt was a warm and sunny day for once.

One of those days you need a windshield wiper to get the pollen off your windows.

But, it was nice to have it warm and I don’t mind the sun.

Water still looks cold…
There is still a bit of snow on the ground, but not very much.

The ground is still pretty soggy from where it has all been melting the last week.

There was at least one butterfly out.

And, a few plants are starting to pop out of the ground.

Sadly the tree buds that also cause me problems were out too.

We had one of our past members show up with the intention of performing again after a 2 year break.

But, practice was pretty empty.

Still, we did practice things with her.

She had to leave after an hour and a half. Then, our new members showed up. So, after a second set of warm up exercises we began working with them.

While there I found our missing sickle. I haven’t seen in it months and now I know why. It has been under the snow all winter!

I cleaned it off. It seems OK. But, sad it was lost under the snow.
We did a second practice with the new folks.

The husband and kids will be at our show next week. His wife will join them a couple of weeks later for the next show.
But, I still hope to get a few more folks out for practices and shows.

Date: 2015-04-14 11:42 am (UTC)It took me quite some time to clean it off. I had to sand off quite a bit of rust from the surface.
