3 years of my little aqua car

It was three years ago today I got my little PriusC.
It’s been almost 60,000 miles/100,000km and I am still very happy with it.

This last summer the fuel economy was fantastic. So, even though it has
been bad this winter the over all average is still more than 50 miles per
gallon. (Which works out to 21.32 km/liter or 4.69 liters/100km)


Clearly the season has a lot to do with that as my best economy is in the
hot months and the worst in the cold.

Of course when it is cold I do the heater, lights and wipers more often.
So, not only does the battery not work quite as well, but I use more power
on things other than moving the car too.

It has been in one major accident almost two years ago. Despite what the
insurance company and court thought, I maintain that it wasn’t my fault.
The police on the scene of the accident agreed with me even if folks who
had never been there didn’t.

Other than that, no major problems and few minor. Hopefully I will have it
for many more years!

Do you use the air conditioner in the summer or do you just roll down the windows?

The air coditioner is much more effiencent than the windows.
The air drag from having the windows open just kills the mpg...
