Extra sword practice
Feb. 21st, 2015 10:04 pmWe decided to have a second practice this weekend to make up for some of the ones we missed over the last couple of weeks.
We also wanted to bring in one of our old sword instructor to check over the things we’ve been developing on Thursdays.
So, we combined them.
First we had to drive off towards Boston to pick up our instructor.

The snow is fairly deep at our practice area, even though it is south of us.

We were a bit worried about the roof of the practice area might come down.

We also had Mark check our rapier technique as he is the one who taught it to us more than 10 years ago.

And, he did have some corrections for us.

Our friend Amy was going to join us, but didn’t know how to get to the practice area. I tried to make it easy by writing her name with snow on the road.

And, she was able to find us.

Once she was there, we moved on to Mark checking our smallsword.

As we worked, the snow began.

But, we kept working.

Then we had to drive Mark the hour or more each way back to Boston.

On the way home we stopped to get food at one of our favorite Chinese restaurants with the icicles.

Something was going on at our apartment complex, but I don’t know what.

As long as the storm doesn’t get worse, more practice tomorrow.
