The rules of this meme are if you post “Rock, paper, lizard, Spock” as a
response to this I will give you 5 questions to answer on your own LJ. You
need to post this rule as well so folks can get questions from you.
My questions from [livejournal.com profile] hindustar are:

1. If someone approached you about wanting to publish your stories and
comics, would you let them, and who would you want to be the artist?

2. Do you have an absolute favorite food that you eat for comfort when
feeling down or sick?

3. Do you plan to travel as much this year as you did last year? Why, or
why not?

4. What is your favorite wedding anniversary celebration you and your wife
have had? Describe please.

5. What is the sickest you have ever been?

1. If someone approached you about wanting to publish your stories and
comics, would you let them, and who would you want to be the artist?
I’d love to have any of my stories published. So, sure, go ahead!
Clearly my first choice as artist would be my wife as she used to do the
comic books with me all those years ago. If I couldn’t get her, then I
have no idea. Someone willing to do it.

2. Do you have an absolute favorite food that you eat for comfort when
feeling down or sick?
I’m a big fat guy. Any time I’m down or sick I eat things. There isn’t
any specific thing though. I eat it all. (Except milk products to which I
am allergic.)

3. Do you plan to travel as much this year as you did last year? Why, or
why not?
I traveled much more than normal in 2014. So, I doubt I’d travel that much
in 2015. But, most of the trips I took were not long term planned and I
had not foreseen them at the start of 2014. So, it is hard to be sure.
I certainly hope the troupe will make it’s twice a year trips down south.
And, we’ve made a habit of seeing my cousins in FL at Christmas.
So, those are pretty likely.
But, things like the trip to Wales or taking my wife to the Grand Canyon?
I’m not saying something like that won’t happen, but it is not planned.
And Lord only knows what my work might require…

4. What is your favorite wedding anniversary celebration you and your wife
have had? Describe please.
On our 11th anniversary it fell on a Saturday again so we renewed our vows.
That was my favorite as I really liked the vow renewal. It was on the side
of a small lake where we had been holding our sword practices at the time.
The sword troupe showed up to see it. (We had invited other friends, but
they didn’t show up. That annoyed me at the time. We aren’t friends with
those folks any more, but for more reasons than just that…)
The 2013 big party we had for our 20th was very nice too.

5. What is the sickest you have ever been?
The good news is I don’t generally get very sick. I get colds and the flu
occasionally, but nothing that has required special attention. I’ve never
needed any time in a hospital or had any kind of surgery. I’ve been to the
emergency room a few times and had some stitches for things. But, that’s
not the same as sick.
I have had cold that took a long time to go away, but they weren’t bad
enough to stop me from going to work.

The one that comes to mind as the most sick I’ve been is probably what we
called “The Dread Disease” back when I was in college.
It really only had one symptom. Every hour you threw up for 24 hours. It
was very regular. You could have set a clock by it.
Each of the 5 people who lived in my apartment got it, along with many of
our frequent visitors.
For the most part, you’d feel fine, except tired after a day of it. Then,
when your hour hit, that was it.
It didn’t matter if you had eaten or drunk anything in the proceeding hour.
So, we got to the point where we’d eat or drink things that didn’t seem too
bad going the other way. And, given 5 sick engineers there was a bunch of
experimentation and record keeping done. (Ginger ale won the contest. I
still can’t drink it as it reminds me of that from 30 years ago.)

Oh boy I had something similar to the Dread Disease and it was so awful. It took me so long to eat normally after that illness!
